Hydration Systems

Whether it’s for a tactical operation or a day of hiking, staying hydrated is of the utmost importance to your survival. That’s where hydration systems come in. These systems are rugged water carriers often used by law enforcement, the military, first responders and outdoor enthusiasts for their portability and ease of use. They’re especially beneficial for long outings where water is hard to come by.

Hydration systems mainly come as a pack with a water reservoir inside. This reservoir comes in many sizes and lengths for various volumes of water and has a drinking hose with a bite valve at the end to keep water sealed off until you apply pressure with your lips or teeth. Many hydration packs come with straps that allow you to wear them as a backpack or with MOLLE webbing for attachment to a plate carrier. Some versions come as a tactical backpack with a compatible hydration pocket/sleeve inside and portholes for running the drinking hose through.

What’s more, this CamelBak bladder integrates HydroGuard™ technology which inhibits the growth of bacteria on the reservoir and tube surfaces.

Designed to carry a 2.5-liter bladder, the Condor HCB Water Hydration Carrier can be worn as a backpack or attached to a MOLLE platform. This hydro pack comes with a hydration bladder and features a sternum strap to assist with weight distribution for longer rucks with less fatigue. The shoulder straps are removable, and the cover has a Velcro hook & loop panel. This hydration pack can also be used as an extension pack if you remove the bladder.

The CamelBak HAWG Hydration Backpack is a versatile and rugged medium-sized pack perfect for medium to long missions. This water backpack has over 20 liters of cargo and a 100 oz Mil-Spec Crux reservoir that offers 25% more water per sip. There’s Extended Mountain MOLLE on the front for secure attachment of additional pouches, and when needed, the upper and lower compression straps help compress the bag down for storage. This CamelBak backpack also includes a padded harness and back, plus an additional 3L reservoir to keep you hydrated and comfortable for longer treks.

The Fox Tactical Modular Canteen Cover fits a 1-quart canteen and is MOLLE compatible. This MOLLE hydration pack is made from heavy-weight 600 Denier material to withstand rough use and features two side pockets with hook and loop closures for storing your water purification tablets. There’s also a quick-release buckle for easy access to your water canteen.

Designed for use with official issued one or two-quart canteens, the Sayre Enterprises T.A.B.S. Canteen Straw provides hands-free drinking. This American-made straw is heat-sealed onto the cap to prevent leaks and comes with a canteen cap, bite valve and clip. Using the equipment you already own, hydration becomes a simple matter.
