The LION American Legacy 5 NFPA Firefighting Helmet offers a lightweight, modern-style helmet designed for superior balance and stability. Made from fiberglass, this helmet has been designed to be lightweight yet strong with excellent thermal resistance – so you can ride confidently knowing your head is safe. The distinct low profile and modern styling suit any discipline while providing improved interfaces compared to traditional-style helmets.

  • Shell: State-of-the-art fiberglass materials for lightweight, structural integrity while the RTM technology provides color pigmentation throughout
  • Impact cap: Lexan®/ABS dome encapsulated with urethane foam for outstanding thermal resistance
  • Suspension: Patented Center of Gravity™ adjustment system lets you set the center of gravity and keeps helmet positioned in place
  • Height adjusters: Provide three different headband height positions
  • Ratcheting headband: Adjusts from size 5.5 to 8.75. Cushioned headband covered with black knit DuPont™ Nomex® brand fiber for comfort and a secure fit
  • Eye protection: ESS FirePro 1971™ Goggles and 4” APEC Faceshield with Thumbwheel Adjustments
  • Edge binding: Aluminum core edge binding
  • Chinstrap: Easy-to-adjust, quick-release chinstrap with postman's slide
  • Ear covers: Yellow Nomex®/flannel ear covers for added neck/ear protection
  • 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material (1" x 4" lime-yellow bars) resists heat and maintains brightness and color after heat exposure
